Khadijah Ali, Ed.S., CAA, serves as the District Director of Athletics for the Dougherty County School System, providing leadership and oversight for athletic programs across the district. With more than two decades of experience in education and athletics, she is recognized as a transformational leader committed to excellence, innovation, and the holistic development of student-athletes.

Prior to her appointment as District Director, Ms. Ali served as the Athletic Director and Head Girls Basketball Coach at Dougherty Comprehensive High School. Throughout her career, she has built a reputation for fostering strong relationships, developing successful programs, and creating cultures rooted in accountability, integrity, academic achievement, and competitive excellence. Her collaborative leadership style has enabled coaches, administrators, student-athletes, and community stakeholders to work together toward a shared vision of success.

Ms. Ali earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Health, Physical Education, and Recreation, a Master of Education degree in Health and Physical Education, and an Education Specialist degree in Coaching Pedagogy. She is also a Certified Athletic Administrator (CAA) through the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association (NIAAA), demonstrating her commitment to professional excellence and best practices in educational athletics.

As District Director, Ms. Ali is dedicated to ensuring that every student-athlete has access to a premier athletic experience that promotes leadership, character, sportsmanship, and personal growth. She believes athletics serves as an extension of the classroom, teaching valuable life skills that prepare students for success long after their playing days are over.

A passionate advocate for community engagement, Ms. Ali also works to ensure that athletic events throughout the district are welcoming, organized, and reflective of the pride and tradition of Dougherty County schools. Her vision is to unify and elevate athletics across the district while creating opportunities that positively impact students, families, schools, and the broader community.

Under her leadership, DCSS Athletics is guided by the belief that success is achieved through collective effort, shared commitment, and a relentless pursuit of excellence.
